Mission Statement: Residents of elderly care facilities frequently face loneliness and have few visitors. Help us brighten their day by writing them cards!
Get Involved: Come join us at a card writing party! We will provide all the materials to make cards, as well as snacks, drinks, and music, and would love to have you there to provide the creativity. We will come together as a community and create messages of hope and purpose that we will deliver to the chosen living center.
* We will pick a new living center for each party!
We provide:
-All card making materials, work space, and food+drinks.
You provide:
-Positivity, friendship, and creativity.
Together we:
-Have fun, make uplifting cards, and bring smiles to the faces of people who may not feel valued or recognized.
About Me
My name is Searcy, and as a senior at Weston High School, I am passionate about spreading positivity and support to the elderly population in our community. Inspired by visits to my grandmother in a care facility, I have witnessed the isolation and loneliness many elderly residents experience. My goal with this project is to bring joy and brighten the lives of those who need it most.
